David Ray is a healthcare executive with extensive experience in clinical operations, strategic planning, and team management. As Chief Operating Officer at Tanner Clinic, he oversees financial, operational, and medical support functions, ensuring efficiency and excellence in patient care. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah. Previously, he served as an administrative director for the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. A Lean Six Sigma practitioner, David has presented and published over 20 academic papers on quality, efficiency, and clinical operations. He is board-certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is an active member of professional organizations, including Utah ACHE and Utah MGMA. Originally from Arizona, he now resides in Davis County, Utah, where he enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with his wife and five children.
